The Adventures of Tom Sawyer《汤姆·索亚历险记》Mark Twain

There is a young boy named Tom Sawyer. He grows up in a small town along the Mississippi River. He likes to do naughty (淘气的) things. His mother is dead, so he and his younger brother live with his aunt. Sawyer explores (探索) the countryside on a riverboat with his friends, starts secret clubs and looks for treasure (宝藏).

This is the story of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. US author Mark Twain wrote it in 1876. It has become a classic (经典) around the world since it came out. The story is full of imagination, wonder (奇事) and, of course, adventure (冒险). More importantly, through the eyes of Tom Sawyer, Twain cleverly makes fun of society. For example, Sawyer hates going to church. Twain uses Sawyer to make fun of religion (宗教) and its old traditions.

The Chronicles of Narnia《纳尼亚传奇》CS Lewis

Narnia is a mysterious land (神奇的土地). There, animals can walk and trees can talk. A small group of kids goes to Narnia. They meet all kinds of people and animals, including witches (巫师) and giants (巨人). In Narnia, there is a war (战争) between two sides. The evil (邪恶的) side wants to turn Narnia into a hellish (地狱般的) place, while the good side wants the place to stay the way it is. The kids join the war and help a lion named Aslan, the ruler of Narnia, to fight against the evil side.

British author CS Lewis wrote and published the books between 1950 and 1956. They have sold over 100 million copies () in 47 languages. There are several TV series, stage dramas (舞台剧) and films about them.
