Liu Haoran, born on 10th October 1997, also known as Turbo Liu, is a Chinese actor.  Have you ever seen Detective Chinatown 2? If you have seen it, you must know him!

Hard working actor

One of the great lessons Liu Haoran has learned from his dad is how to keep a level head.

His father used to be a soldier, so Liu grew up with strict parenting. This is probably why he realized at a young age that he needed to create his own future by working hard. And he still lives by this rule today. “I know if I want to add some positive adjectives① in front of the word ‘actor’, I have to gain a variety of acting experience,” he said.

His debut② role was as a high school student in Beijing Love Story. In his words, he was playing “my life and my story”. During the Spring Festival, Detective Chinatown 2 hit the big screen and he played a clever detective in it.

In real life, Liu is as intelligent as the young detective he played in the movie. In 2015, he scored over 100 more points than he needed in the national college entrance exam to get accepted into the Central Academy of Drama③. Yet despite his fame④, he still works really hard at his studies. “I need to learn more to become a great actor.” he says.
